Their story
Sunseap was started by friends, Mr Frank Phuan and Mr Lawrence Wu, with the aim of delivering affordable and sustainable energy. Sunseap Group is the largest clean energy solutions provider in Singapore, with a portfolio of projects that range from rooftop installations to floating photovoltaic (PV) systems. The group holds 3 entities, Sunseap Leasing, Sunseap International and Sunseap Energy.

What we did
CLOUDE8 was engaged to assess not only Sunseap's short terms challenges but to also help define a road map to support their long term vision. At that stage, the company had a young and dynamic team that needed the right guidance to help define their business processes and embed the systems into their operations. We worked closely with each business unit and the IT department to drive accountability and ownership, define business requirements and user testing scenarios. As a result, Sunseap now runs on a foundational enterprise system that has seen a marked increase in productivity and continues to support their drive for operational efficiency.

- Project cost savings of over SGD500k over 3 years when compared to the implementation and license costs of Microsoft Dynamics.

Their story
Strumm's has been an entertainment powerhouse for the last 20 years (this month in fact). They operate numerous clubs, bars and restaurants across Singapore with a vision to be one of Asia's prominent entertainment groups. There were no humble beginnings for Strumm’s as it started out straight up with a bang back in 1996 with it’s first “Ipanema World Music Bar”. The project stood out with its fun Brazilian concept, great music and performances, and has paved the way for it’s future successes. Strumm’s has gone from strength to strength ever since, and continues to create stand out clubs and bars.

What we did
With CLOUDE8's support and consulting, it was quickly identified that Strumm's main challenges revolved around their human capital and company culture. At the completion of their business assessment, management agreed to and defined the company wide objectives that formed part of their business transformation initiative and engaged CLOUDE8 to oversee the the program. Aside from the value of an single enterprise wide platform for the management of their 13 outlets, Strumm's are now able to accurately close every month-end and year-end on time and provide the leadership team with key decision making information that wasn't available before.

CIDF is the world’s largest independent distributor and marketing solutions provider in the Global Travel Retail channel. They are also the leading specialist for Chinese consumer-focused products. Their distribution reaches 100+ key retail locations across 4 continents, through land, sea and air retail outlets. They are the global partner of choice for travel retailers and leading brands.

What we did
The CLOUDE8 team was initially invited to CIDF's annual company get together to present the benefits of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. This was a unique opportunity for everybody to provide their inputs not only for the new system, but for improvements to the existing business operations especially the known "single point of failure" (a person) in the logistics team. We spent the next month with the team in Singapore and Hong Kong to define and refine their distribution and supply chain processes and the integration into the other business areas. The benefits of this collaboration was felt almost immediately with the removal of the single point of failure, replaced with an enterprise system that can be picked up by anyone.
